Hello there! I decided to write this because Iβm feeling pretty productive right now but I guess, this will just stay in my drafts for now. Asis and I just got home from my parentsβ house and we just finished doing house chores and unpacking our groceries. We had to disinfect every item we bought just to be safe. So how long has it been? My last post was a few days after my 27th birthday. It has been quite a while. I was pretty busy, to be honest despite the lockdown and the pandemic. Work is the reason why. Iβve been rendering overtime most of the days and been working on weekends, too, since then. I also got a freelance project which made me occupied for weeks and kept me up most of the nights, but thankfully, it went well. It was overwhelming. It made me restless. Even when I was on my bed it made me think of what I should and shouldnβt do in my codes. I almost went nuts.

Anyway, we just spent our weekend at my parentsβ. We seldom go out unless we need to buy necessities so I was glad papβs picked us up yesterday morning. As much as possible, I donβt want to take a grab car. Itβs really scary out there. Covid-19 cases are rising. I hope people wear masks whenever theyβre outside and if itβs not necessary, hope they just stay at home. Because I honestly feel that most people are feeling complacent since ECQ was lifted. Okay, I digress. So it was actually a nice and memorable stay. Before we go to my parentsβ I searched and listed down ingredients on how to make a Banana cake and asked my brother for the ingredients of Japchae. I planned on baking and cooking for us. It was my first time to bake. I really didnβt know what to do. I am no good in the kitchen. Happy mama was there to assist me though. Actually, if you think about it we kind of had a mother-daughter bonding moment right then. Okay now, what made it memorable? The tasting time!! The Banana Cake was a fail. Even the cream cheese Asis did was a total fail. Everything was like pudding. The textures of both the bread and the supposedly cream were just not it. We were all laughing so hard when mama sliced the cake and the pudding fell off the top because of its jell-o texture. And papβs just made it worse. He kept on joking about our βBanana Cakeβ that we just couldnβt stop laughing till tears fill our eyes. The moment was just priceless. My Japchae turned out, thankfully, good. Yay for that. By the way, Asis also cooked his version of this Jamaican Ital soup he saw in one of Rasta Mokkoβs kitchen vlogs and he has been cooking this a loooot lately which was also good. It was really nice and refreshing to eat something healthy every now and then because we have been eating processed/instant foods since this pandemic started. Sooo yup, I donβt think Iβll bake anytime soon. Maybe Iβll just let Asis do the job since heβs my own personal chef. (β§β‘β¦)οΌ
The day is about to end and tomorrow I have to work again. Iβll be adding another update after this post soon or not. But for now, Iβll just prepare some snacks because we are about to watch the movie, Aswang. Laters!

And hereβs another update. We just got back from Asisβ parentsβ place. We spent our weekend with his family just like what we did last week at my parentsβ. I also had our rolls developed at Fotofabrik. It was my first time to try their service. The transaction was smooth and fast. The scans were great! It was all in high resolutionβmuch higher than the other labs that I tried. Two thumbs up for that. But yes, my shots were shitty as you can see. I used a low iso film and most of them were shot indoors so it turned out dark. Lesson learned. Anyway, canβt wait to shoot again and have my films developed in their lab again. Hope this pandemic will end soon.
How are you guys holding up? Stay healthy, stay safe. Stay at home. x
P.S. Yes, I suck at blog titles. οΌΌ(οΏ£β½οΏ£)οΌ
