Fujifilm Quick Snap

,

I bought 2 disposable cameras last month — Fujifilm Quick Snap Exp 27 ISO 400 and Lomography Simple Use Camera Exp 36 ISO 400. Well, the Lomo one is not entirely disposable. You can still reload it once you’ve finished the preloaded film. Haven’t tried it yet but the process looks really tricky so reload at your own risk. Anyway, I’ve always wanted to have one since I really liked the end results of these cameras. The contrast and the vibrancy are impressive for a pretty cheap compact camera. I also think this kind of camera is best used indoors and at events with your family or friends.

I finally found the time to use the Fujifilm Quick Snap. I was scared to use it at first. There were no instructions and I couldn’t find any tutorials of the same brand/model on the internet. I even messaged the seller (The Vintage Collective) on Instagram whom I purchased the cameras asking how to use it. I was really scared and confused. I didn’t want to waste the shots and I thought it was broken and the display showed inaccurate number of shots remaining. Oh well, the wonders of film photography. Glad my shots turned out great though. In the total of 27 exposure shots, I only have 5 wasted shots. Not bad for a first-time user, eh? Btw, the Quick Snap flash was really blinding and I realized some of my food shots were too low. I should always keep in mind that viewfinders aren’t at all accurate. So here are the results:

July 20 – It has been years since I last saw most of my high school friends. It was nice to reconnect. It almost felt like nothing changed between us but at the same time, we’ve all changed drastically. // KTV night

July 27 – Finally went out with these guys! They were my coworkers from the previous company I worked at and I can say that they now turned out to be good friends of mine. They are my food buddies. We spent the whole day at the mall eating, catching up, going to arcades and different stores, then back to eating again. It was really fun. I definitely missed these crays.

August 3 – My mum’s birthday and a mini baby shower // Can’t wait to meet my niece and for my sister to come home! Hope my family will be complete soon!

I'm impressed with how well these turned out considering the lighting. I never dare to use any disposable cameras in anything that isn't direct daylight… Congratulations on your new baby niece! You must be super excited to meet her <3xxxIsabelhttps://isabelstories.com/

Yes, I agree. You should try using one. The flash is a big help so it's okay to use indoors. And yes, our first baby in the family! Can't wait. Thank you, Isabel. x

Ahh I have the same Fujifilm Quick Snap!! I bought a box of 10 off Amazon two years ago. I didn’t get through even half of one camera in those two years, but just last week my friend inspired me to shoot film (even if it’s just with a disposable camera), so I took some disposable cameras out with me on a day I was traveling and went through two disposable cameras! I dropped off my cameras to get developed and can’t wait to see how they turn out! Your post is getting me even more excited for it! -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
