Finally decided to wrap up this Sagada trip. Yay!

On our last day, we decided to witness the beautiful sunrise at the peak of Marlboro Hills. We were thinking of going to Kiltepan but then changed our minds since we heard it was already too crowded. We woke up around 3 am to get ready and Kuya (I forgot his name) picked us up at Rock Inn around 4 am. By the way, we were so grateful that one of the staff in Rock Inn and Cafe referred his brother to guide us for this trip because the guide we initially talked to at the tourism office gave us the wrong number so we can’t reach/contact him that night to talk about our plans for the next day. Unlike most guides that will only drop you off at the jump-off point of Marlboro Country, Kuya had this 4×4 Toyota Landcruiser that got us almost near the peak (15-20 minute walk or less to the peak). We didn’t know how hard it was to trek that time until we passed by a lot of people who were struggling with the hike. It was pitch dark, muddy, and it was really far. It would probably take us 2 or more hours to finally reach the viewpoint. So yea, we were really grateful we hired Kuya.

We grabbed a quick bite from the locals’ pop-up stores to keep us warm before Kuya led us to this steep spot near the cliff where we had an awesome view of the sunrise and a stunning 360-degree view of the mountains. So here are the photos:

I was so happy I finally witnessed the sea of clouds. I didn’t get to see this kind of view when my family and I went to Mt. Pulag 3 years ago. Definitely a one of kind experience. I can’t wait to go back here. Sa susunod camping overnight naman!

All in all, it was surreal! We got to indulge ourselves and bask in nature’s beauty. Everything was perfect. Definitely one for the books!
