G-Dragon is back! I really thought he’d just be selling shoes and merch, so I was super excited when he dropped a new album. When the tour dates came out in March and tickets started selling in April, I knew I had to see him live. I even signed up for his official membership just to get presale access.
As usual, ticketing was stressful. The presale code wouldn’t work at times, then I had to wait a few minutes before trying again. I was anxious about securing tickets for me and Asis, but thankfully, I got them in my preferred section. I’ve always liked the center view, so I was really happy. The tickets were pricey, but worth it. I also got my daisy bong lightstick before the concert, and it was so pretty.
May 17, Saturday – G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [Übermensch] IN BULACAN, PHILIPPINE ARENA
It was both our first time inside the Philippine Arena. The place was massive, though there weren’t many establishments around, just a food pavilion. Transportation was also tricky, so we decided to bring our car for convenience. I had heard so many stories about how hard it was to find a good parking spot with an easy exit after concerts, so I did my research beforehand. I wanted us to be able to get out of the arena and onto the highway as quickly as possible.
We got there around 4 PM, and honestly, it felt like we were in a different country. There were so many international fans, all dressed up and excited for the show. The concert started around 7 PM, and the crowd went wild. The King is definitely back, still as fashionable and magnetic as ever. Overall, the concert was amazing, though I have to admit it felt a little underwhelming since his new songs didn’t have the same banger vibe as his older ones. Still, he’s the GOAT. The production was 11 out of 10.
During the encore, Asis and I were already near the door, ready to bolt out once he said goodbye. He sang the famous “oooh ho hoh” part from Bang Bang Bang and I Like 2 Party while the crowd sang along. Goosebumps. I can’t wait for BIGBANG to return. GD was still saying goodbye when we left, and we brisk-walked to the car. Our spot was one of the farthest, but it was near the Duhat exit, so we were back on the expressway in minutes.
I only became a fan later, after they were already serving in the military, so I never got to witness their prime years, both as solo artists and as a group. That’s why seeing G-Dragon live this time felt extra special and made the whole experience unforgettable.

November 2, Sunday – G DRAGON IN CINEMA: ÜBERMENSCH
Asis and I watched the film on IMAX, which captured the kickoff of G-Dragon’s Übermensch world tour in South Korea. It felt almost like watching him perform live all over again. The production, his stage presence, and the dedication even in the freezing stadium were incredible. His team was still performing at full energy, with the live band, drones, and robots adding to the spectacle. And of course, the special guests CL, Tae, and Dae. Seeing them all perform together was amazing.
We really enjoyed it, though the sound system at SM IMAX was not great. It was loud in a harsh way, and the bass was lacking, which made the experience a bit meh.
