Tali Beach, Batangas

, , ,

It had been almost 5 months since this trip happened, and honestly, I’m not sure if what I’m going to write here really happened or if it’s all accurate, but whatever. I’ve been neglecting this blog for a while now and I quite feel bad about it. As much as possible I wanted to document everything that happened since my memory is so bad. And it just so happens I’m on sick leave so might as well be productive and have an update. I know I’ve been really lazy now that I’m older and you know, life’s in the way and I have lots of responsibilities, but let’s try to update this blog every now and then, hmm

May 26 – 30 (Thursday to Monday), Tali Beach in Nasugbu, Batangas
Asis’ friends from the US and AU came for a vacation here in the Philippines, and it had been years since they’d been together. The guys actually organised this trip and we, the girlfriends, just tagged along to whatever they planned. Some of his friends slept here at our place the night before we went to Batangas. They, too, did all the grocery shopping. It was exciting to have our friends over here at our new rented place. Imagine having 7 grownups in our small humble abode! It was fun though.

We left home around 7-9am, not sure about the time, but yes, we got stuck in traffic here in the metro, but once we reached the expressway, it was just a 2-3 hour ride to the rented house. We just had our brunch in Cheza’s—they serve great food here—along the way.

Tali Beach is located in a private seaside community in Nasugbu, and they don’t allow walk-in guests. There are actually a lot of accommodations offered by the residents or registered members. Also, there are a total of 7 beaches inside the village, and almost all of the vacation houses there are huge and beautiful.

Anyhoo, the place we rented was also big and had its own swimming pool. It was really open, so yay for fresh air! So yeah. During our whole four-day stay, we just did catch up on each other’s lives, played cards/billiards/darts, went to the beach, swam in the pool, and stuffed ourselves with food. Yes, we cooked/grilled our own food since there were no stores or restaurants near us. Blah blah blah. Funny how now that we are older all we want to do was to unwind and relax. No more adventurous, body aches, trips! Even during our drinking sessions, it was just chill. No more drinking too much to the point of not remembering. I was also glad the weather was nice. It did rain but it was mostly sunny/cloudy all throughout our stay. And on our last day, when we got back home, we scheduled a massage appointment and had samgyupsal. Really a nice way to end our month!

These photos were all taken using my reusable cameras–Lomography simple use cam and 35mm cam–except for one group photo below.
