Rollei Crossbird 200

September 11 – 12, 2021
After so many months, I finally got to be somewhere away from the city. It was so nice to be surrounded by nature, and to get some fresh air and sunshine. Asis and I have been cooped up inside our home for so long. Our place gets no sunlight, so we don’t have any idea what’s the weather outside. It is just sad not to be able to get some vitamin D for my Psor because I’m still having a bad flare-up. Anyway, we went to Tagaytay for an overnight stay. It was planned by Asis’ family since they, too, badly wanted to be somewhere. We rented this vacation home, La Casa de Magdayao, and it was such a nice place! We just basically did what we always do when we’re at home (eat, kill time, sip hot choco/coffee, use our phones), but the difference was the change of scenery.

I also finished a roll that time and the photos below are the results. It was my first time trying Rollei Crossbird 200–a gift from my cousin in Germany–using my Olympus Pen EE-3. Didn’t expect the roll to have this super warm tone. I was also pretty disappointed with my shots. It was either overexposed or underexposed. Lol! And I mostly took my shots inside, and I forgot I was using a 200 ISO film. Bummer. Can’t wait to try the film stock again but using my main camera, Canon AE-1 Program. I hope it will be much better.
