August 17, 2019 – Asis and I were stuck at home two weeks after we moved. We were both busy with work and house chores, and I was also busy binge-watching Attack On Titan, and we were even kind of pretty broke from buying the necessary things we needed for our new home. But it was a Saturday and we needed to take a breather. We wanted to go out, anywhere near and cheap or free. I also didn’t want to go anywhere far or even go to the mall because I might just be tempted to spend money on expensive coffee and desserts. So we decided to go to La Mesa Eco Park just 1.2km away from our place. We just wanted a change of scenery after settling in. Also, working in the same place every day and where I also spend my non-working hours can really get monotonous so it was really nice that we went out. I really miss being surrounded by nature and it has been a long time since my last visit to this park, or any park for that matter.
It was kinda late (almost 10am) and hot when we got there. We both brought our own backpacks for our food and drinks, and our cameras. It was like a date and a photo walk, too. I brought with me my Olympus Pen EE-3 half-frame camera. I was just pointing and shooting anywhere that I liked while walking and I sometimes forgot to set my camera’s ISO setting, thus some shots are overexposed and blurry. So yea, it was really nice except for the heat. What was I thinking wearing a long-sleeved top? Of course, it would be hot. (¬_¬;) Thank goodness for trees though, we found shade. We went home just before noon since we were both tired from all the walking we did. Anyway, the funny thing though was that we went to the mall after we rested. So much for saving money! All in all, it was a well-spent day.
