Cookie Overload

I’m pretty picky when it comes to dessert. I’m not really fond of chocolates unless they’re dark ones. And I’m the kind of person who likes to have an intake of any specific sweets that come to mind after eating a meal. Anyway, I’ve been ordering cookies from different people who sell online on Instagram. Some are pretty pricey but they are really worth it considering the quality and size of the cookies. I also wanted to support small businesses. By the way, this is not a sponsored post. I really just wanted to try all the high-rated cookies from these critics: gooeydrippy and toughcookiecritic.

So here are the cookies I tasted in chronological order:

@sweetthings.ph 5/5

The Basic CC – 320/4s, 640/8s | The S’mores – 360/4s, 720/8s | Half-half – 680/8s

The very first cookies I’ve bought online! I bought a box to support a friend from my FEU college days. I was even glad to know that she lived near me so yay for the low delivery price. Bias aside, I personally loved it. My family also preferred these cookies, esp. the s’mores! I was honestly not expecting the cookie to be that huge. It was bigger than my palm and it was also thick — each cookie is equivalent to 2 1/2 regular-sized cookies and weighs 150g. It was also rich in chocolates and really chewy. Got surprised when it was delivered because the box was really heavy when I only ordered 8 cookies. Anyway, since the cookie was big I did somewhat get fed up with it after eating it halfway. So I need help eating one cookie. Lol

The OD Chocolate Chip, Cornflake, Ube White, and Choco Nutella – 120/ea

Choco Nutella – This cookie was the bomb. It was palm size huge. A bit sweet that you’ll get easily fed up with it.

@becks.ph 5/5

Soft, Moist, Gooey & Chewy: Better Batter – 580/12s | Better Batter with Walnuts – 650/12s | Better Batter Half, half – 690 | Crisp & Crunchy: Chocolate Chunk – 380/12s | Chocolate Chunk with Walnuts – 460/12s

Oh my! I loved it. It was all buttery and rich in chocolates. Some even have huge chunks in it. I really preferred the one with walnuts, though. The walnuts crispiness compliments the chewiness of the cookie. The taste was familiar though. I’m not sure where I tasted something like this, but yea, it was really good. I just hope the cookies were a bit bigger because I can easily finish 3-5 cookies in one sitting.

@dearlucycookies 4/5

Triple Chocolate Chip (milk, white, 54.5% & 64% dark) – 350/8s | Triple dark chocolate chips (54.5%, 64%, & 70% dark chocolate) – 400/8s

Triple Dark Chocolate Chips (70% Dark Chocolate) – Firstly, the packaging was lovely. I’m such a sucker for cute things. Secondly, the cookies were yummy. It was like a high-quality premium Chips Ahoy! cookie, but it was chewy and moist instead. I love that there were percentages to choose from on how dark you want the chocolates to be. The sprinkled sea salt on top was new to me so I need to get used to the saltiness, though. All in all, two thumbs up!

@bababakeph 3/5

New Classic – 48/ea, 240/5s, 470/10s | Dark White – 50/ea, 250/5s, 485/10s | Milk Walnut – 46/ea, 230/5s, 540/10s | Pre-Assorted – 430/9s (3 each of their staples), 570/12s (3 each of their staples) | Sinless Chocolate Dream – 64/ea, 325/5s, 635/10s

New Classic – It wasn’t greasy, and it also got this sea salt on top which I’m getting used to now when eating cookies. All in all, it was okay.

Milky Walnut – This, too. It was okay. It tasted like KFC’s brownies but with walnuts. Lots of walnuts. And it’s not that sweet which was great.

Dark White – The taste of the white chocolate was too overpowering. It tasted like the cookies and cream Hershey’s chocolate. Couldn’t taste ng the dark chocolate. But good thing though was that it was also rich with walnuts.

Sinless Chocolate – This was something new. This cookie was low in sugar (1.8g net carbs each) and it was made with single-ingredient almond meal, grass-fed butter, monk fruit sweetener, walnuts and premium NSA (no sugar added) dark chocolate. It was flourless, low-carb which was perfect for the health-conscious ones. (Diabetic-friendly, Keto-approved, Gluten-free) // Personally, though, this cookie isn’t for me. I prefer the sinful cookies.

And that’s about it. I’m not sure if I’m ordering again anytime soon. I’ve been eating too much sweets lately and my wallet is crying from all the expenses. Maybe, I’ll buy again when Christmas season arrives. Anyway, these are all recommended! Really enjoyed testing out cookies. So yea, laters! x

P.S. The prices are in PHP

P.P.S. All images were taken using my film cameras (Canon AE-1 Program & Olympus Pen-EE3) thus the quality and bad focusing.

    fresh baked, chewy chocolate chip cookies with a hint of salt are my absolute FAV. I've had to give that up while on this “weight-loss journey” :womp: >,<
