A Motivational Letter to Myself

Dear Twenty-Something Self,

Life is going to be hard. All these ups and downs you are experiencing are nothing compared to what you are about to experience. You haven’t even started yet. It’s okay to fail, it’s okay to fall from time to time but always learn how to get back up. Giving up is not an option. If you fall and get hurt, then stop for a while and take all your time to stand and start again. And if you have to change, then change for the better. Get rid of all those negative thoughts and excess baggage that’s been weighing you down. Just let it go. Always keep moving forward, one step at a time. Keep going, keep progressing. You are not alone in this. Never stop trying to do things you love, and never be afraid to experience something new. Don’t ever let somebody tell you, you can’t do anything. You are capable of anything as long as you put your heart into it. Never let anybody place a limit on your potential. Never compare yourself to others and base your worth on what others tell you. You have to believe in yourself. Have confidence and faith. Know what is right from wrong and learn to say “No” without feeling guilty. Indulge but always keep yourself grounded. Explore. Get lost. Challenge yourself. Conquer your fears. Grow. Go on an adventure. Be kind. Fall in love. I know it’s terrifying out there but you can at least try. Take risks. Life is too short to live a life full of regrets. You gotta live the uncertainty of life to the fullest. Life is tough but so are you. Just be patient. You’ll reach your destination, and it’s going to be great! But for now, enjoy your journey. Live.

P.S. Saw this on my old Tumblr blog and I just had to repost it here. Made this year 2015 and it is just so timely I’ve read it again.
