We were now heading back to the city. I was not ready to leave but we, unfortunately, had to get back to reality. We had to return to work and earn money. This is the part about traveling I hate the most, leaving.
The trip back was exhausting. Everything—the scorching heat, the dizzying ferry ride, the butt-numbing car ride, the traffic, the hunger—was all too much. We arrived in the city around 5-6ish PM. We parted ways with the rest of the gang and dropped off our bags at Express Inn. We later met up again at Ayala Center and hung out before we head back to Manila the next day. We drank moderately since we still had a flight to catch and we also waited until 12 AM to celebrate and greet Dee her birthday. It was such a nice moment. We said our goodbyes and parted ways. Goodbyes are definitely bittersweet, but it’s not the end though. I didn’t feel sad since we will most definitely meet again and this is something I look forward to. I can’t wait for our next travel! I’m also glad we still have this group chat named, “Bantayan Escapade” where we update each other every now and then. Till we meet again.
So yea, this will be the last post for my Cebu getaway. Laters! ♡
P.S. I got sick on the day of our flight and all I did was sleep on the plane and in yet another 4-hour butt-numbing car ride from NAIA to Fairview. The Philippines has the worst traffic ever.

By the way, these are the pasalubongs I bought for my family.
