Whale Shark Watching
The first activity for our third day in Cebu was swimming with the gentle giants. This was supposed to be our activity on the fourth day but since the owner of Malonzo Pension House, the place we were staying at in Oslob, said we can do all this—Whale Shark Watching and Sumilon Island Tour— in just a day then just like that our plans changed.

We were now off to the drop-off point in a small barangay Tan-awan. Snorkeling with the whale sharks was worth P500.00 and ‘twas good for only 15 minutes. Your time will start once you have reached the sighting area.

After we registered, paid, and listened to the short briefing about the dos and don’t of this activity, now we were off to the sighting area. Dang, I was already nervous in this photo.

It took us (we girls, mostly.) a while to get off of the freaking boat and swim with these huge creatures. We actually have a lot of photos and selfies with it but these two are the only decent photos I got. Srsly, capturing the Instagram-worthy photo/s was definitely hard. THE STRUGGLE WAS REAL.
Anyway, it’s not really about the photos, it’s all about the experience. Definitely an achievement for me since I’m terrified of fish and of swimming in the sheer vastness and depth of the ocean, ergo, swimming with the gentle giants with no vest on was such a great feat for me. Yay!!
Day Tour: Sumilon Island
We went straight to Sumilon’s Port and waited for the earliest (8:00am) boat transfer to Sumilon Island. Btw, the day tour fee was P1,500.00 (Weekdays | P2,000.00 on weekends). Inclusive of Lunch Buffet (Food? Uh, okay. Desserts? Yummy!), Round trip transfers, Island Activities, and use of resort facilities (Cottages, Infinity Pool, Shower Rooms). & you can stay up until 5:00pm (the last schedule for the boat transfer).

I was feeling really bad after the encounter with the giants. Thank God I felt better when we reached the island. Kulang lang talaga sa kain. Hahaha!

Awkwaaaaaaaaaaaaard shot of me using the GoPro dome (birthday gift) Asis gave to me.

Snorkeling Spot: This was the view underwater. It was disappointing, really. But I understand that the corals were destroyed because of typhoon Yolanda. Oh well.

Some of the photos in the resort. (Grabbed photos from the group)

Obligatory couple shot in the infamous infinity pool ♡ | Sumilon Island = Picturesque
This day was full of fun-filled activities. We really did make the most of our time! It was just sad that Asis got sick later that evening due to exhaustion and the scorching heat. Hay buhay, after the fun, comes the problem. But still couldn’t thank the Lord enough for this amazing day and for keeping us safe from harm and danger.
