Our last stop: Silanguin Cove PT. I

, , ,

Silanguin cove is the farthest (from Pundaquit Bay) and the biggest cove of Zambales “sisters” of coves. This was our last stop. The place where we spent our night out. I was so disappointed when we got there because we couldn’t find Puerto Silanguin resort. It was the place we were supposed to stay because again, I saw lots of great photos on other blogs about it. Anyway, we stayed in the resort (forgot the name) Mang Pedring, the boatman, suggested. Since it was also his first time in Silanguin, he didn’t know anyone trustworthy around the place.

We arrived there around noontime. We were so tired but we had to move and set up our tents. Asis and I prepared our dinner and did all the grilling. We were supposed to relax! It was the sole reason why we went there but it turned out wrong because we did most of the chores that day. This trip just stressed us out, to be honest. That didn’t stop us from enjoying the place, though. We still made the most of our time.

Some parts of the shore were full of live rocks.

The Camp Site & Our Food

Good thing there were bathrooms around the place.

We didn’t see the sun setting from the view of our campsite. There was this mountain blocking it. There’s a great spot though. You just had to walk along the shore to see it.

Bonfire

You can ask the caretaker of the resort if you want a bonfire. They can provide you with a stack of wood for only 350 pesos and have it set it up for you. | Beach bonfire + the sky full of stars = perf

Us: Asis & April

Found it! Puerto Silanguin resort was just next to the resort we stayed in. But there was no one around. Even their arc that says “Puerto Silaguin ♡” was nowhere to be seen. The place is now abandoned. (╯︵╰,)

Anyway, we slept around 7 or 8pm, I think. Thank God our tent had this mosquito net or else the mosquitoes could have eaten us alive because my parents and my sis & her boyf didn’t sleep at all due to it, so be sure to bring mosquito repellent when camping, okay? So yea, we were the only ones that had enough sleep that night. Asis and I also woke up several times due to the cold (we didn’t have blankets!) and we thought it was morning already. So yeppp. ( ̄▽ ̄)ノ

Ending this post because it is too long (photo-heavy) now. Will post the next part anytime soon. Shame my camera’s quality setting was on low, thus the grainy outcome of the photos.
