A month-ender getaway

November 28-29, 2015 | Part 1
A spontaneous trip is even better with a little planning. Asis and I planned a trip, together with his friends, away from the hustle and bustle of the city before the year or the month of November ends. Batangas was our first choice since we all know it was only a 3-4 hours drive away and there were tons of resorts where you can camp for a very low rate.

We chose Ivory beach for a change. Burot beach was also an ideal place where you can camp the night away but unfortunately, the place has changed drastically since my last visit. It was crowded, with tons of trash here and there and the place was not that pristine anymore. Anyway, the Ivory beach is located in Brgy Bagong Silang, Calatagan. So yep, around 8pm we went to Fishermall Supermarket to buy all the stuff needed, and by 10pm we were off to Batangas. We arrived at 2am due to the soul-crushing traffic here in the metro.

Always keep an eye on your food ‘cause you’ll never know, it might magically disappear. Jk. But kidding aside, there were lots of ninja dogs milling around, waiting to attack your food. You have been warned. ヽ(´∀`ヽ)

We set up our tents the moment we got there and then the guys did the grilling and also Asis, lit up our little bonfire. Everyone of us were keeping our hands busy doing this and that until we can’t keep our eyes open and decided to call it a day. We only slept for three hours and woke up around 7am to roam around the beach and to prepare our breakfast. The morning was shady and it was about to rain when we decided to go the water. So yes, the only downside of the place was you can’t really swim because it was full of stones and corals. You have to go farther away if you want to go to the deep part. But I’m telling you the struggle to go there was real.

The Aftermath

These puto and kutsinta were tasty. Bought it from the guy who roamed around the beach.

The only decent photo of us together. Against the light pa. (⌣_⌣”)
